Braves To Extend Orlando Arcia

The Atlanta Braves have agreed to terms on a contract extension with Orlando Arcia, according to a report.

Arcia's new deal is for three years and $7.3 million. It also includes a club option for the 2026 season.

The infielder was set to make $1.3 million in 2023 with a club option for 2024.

Guardians Nearing Extension With Trevor Stephan

The Cleveland Guardians are making progress on a contract extension with right-handed reliever Trevor Stephan, according to reports.

Stephan, 27, is controllable for another four seasons and he's not scheduled to reach arbitration until 2024.

Stephan emerged as a high-caliber setup option this past season when he tossed 63 2/3 innings of 2.69 ERA ball.

The Cleveland Guardians have agreed to a seven-year, $106.5 million contract extension with Andres Gimenez, according to sources.

The deal includes an eighth-year club option, locking up the second baseman through the 2031 season. The extension kicks in next season.

It buys out his three years of arbitration and at least four years of free agency, with an option that could take the overall value of the deal to $128 million.

The St. Louis Cardinals have signed Miles Mikolas to a two-year contract extension.

Mikolas is adding $40 million to his contract in the new deal, according to sources. The right-hander will receive a $5 million signing bonus and a $3 million boost to his 2023 salary from $15.75 million to $18.75 million. Mikolas will then make $16 million per year in 2024 and 2025.

The 34-year-old was entering the final season of a four-year contract extension that he signed in 2019.

The Colorado Rockies have agreed to a one-year contract with veteran utility man Jurickson Profar, according to multiple reports.

The deal is pending a physical, according to reports. Profar was not in the United States as of Sunday morning, according to the Denver Gazette, and his availability for Opening Day is uncertain.

Profar will receive $7.75 million in base salary and could make up to another $1 million in incentives, according to the New York Post, which was first to report the deal.

Source: D-Backs, Corbin Carroll Agree To Eight-Year, $111M Deal

From the day they selected him in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft, the D-backs have seen outfielder Corbin Carroll as a player to build around. And now the 22-year-old has a contract deserving of that distinction.

The D-backs and Carroll have agreed to terms on an eight-year, $111 million guaranteed contract with a club option for 2031 that would bring it to $134 million, a source told MLB.com on Saturday. There are also escalators in the pact for '29-31.

The club has not confirmed the deal.
